We hiked the coast to coast trail and Greenlands has been the best accommodation along the trail. They really know what hikers need: Only laundry service, drying room, great shower, excellent home cooked dinner. The hosts have been very friendly and sociable, but with a sense for hikers who want to leave early. Thank you!!!

Had a lovely stay on our cycle ride. Locked our bikes up for us securely. Evening meal and breakfast were delicious and plentiful. Warm, cozy rooms and a very warm welcome. Will definitely be back.

Stayed with Mark, Jude and Bella the Spaniel whilst doing the Coast To Coast walk. Of all the places we stayed in they were the only ones with proper facilities for wet weather walking gear. Mark had built this amazing dry cupboard. Their attention to detail was excellent. A most pleasant encounter

By far our favourite place on the coast to coast — exceptional. As everyone else has said, Ella the dog is the real highlight but only narrowly beats the amazing, fresh, home cooked fish and vegetable dinner; the drying cupboard; and the views. I’d love to go back.

Jude and Mark were amazing! Our favourite night on the coast to coast walk. Our washing was done, an incredible three course meal served up, wine and local beer available. Breakfast was equally as good. Thank you both and hi to Ella the awesome dog.

Fantastic bed and breakfast with incredible hosts. We had a fun evening and the most comfortable sleep. We awoke to stunning views and the food was delicious! The cheese presentation was a delight. Highly recommended, definitely staying again.

We stayed here one night after a long and arduous days walk on the Coast to Coast. Our spirits were low but were immediately restored by Jude and Mark's welcome. The room was great, the drying cupboard even better and the dinner was the best of the whole walk. Thanks and best wishes. Steve

We stayed here for a single night 13/09/19 while walking the coast-to-coast. Basically, we would just like to reiterate all of the positive reviews left by others who have also stayed here. The location is quite isolated, but extremely attractive. The hosts couldn't be more welcoming and they provide drying facilities for kit should it be required. The beds/rooms are very comfortable and the wifi is excellent. I don't think there are any really feasible options for having an evening meal elsewhere, but with the superb food provided by Jude, why would you want to anyway? All in all, a super place to stay. One warning. Get playing with the friendly dog, and she will never let you go!!
