Inn Keeper has a real sense of humor. The staff waited for us to arrive after our hike and even had a dinner reservation since we were hiking through. Dinner portions are HUGE. Lasagna was amazing. Breakfast we delightful. Very charming staff. Living room gave us a spot to relax after breakfast. Excellent view of the hills. Drying room was much needed after hiking in the wind & rain. Easy to locate from the hiking trail, across from red phone booth & Little White Bus stop.

We spent a night at the Keld Lodge on our c2c walk. Great place with the same kind of vibe than the old Glen Coe’s Kings House. And the rooms are better here ! Thanks to all the team !

Great facilities for walkers and our hostess has a very welcoming attitude to wine servings! Highly recommended.

If your on the Wainwrights Coast to Coast walk there isn't many places to stay in Kekd so location is perfect. Rooms are ok clean the service is Excellent but the hotel is dated and needs a face lift

Stayed at Keld Lodge in Keld during our coast-to-coast hike, and it was a wonderful experience. Dave, the proprietor along with Matt, was great—he served as both bartender and chef added a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent, especially the steak and ale with puff pastry. I would rank this at the very top of my coast of coast hike, in terms of food, beer, and friendliness. The room was super clean, with a fantastic view and an in-room shower, making it a perfect choice for hikers. The accommodations were great, and the location is ideal, situated at the halfway point of the coast-to-coast trail. They provide everything a weary hiker could need, including great facilities to dry wet gear. The hospitality, cleanliness, and comfort at Keld Lodge were top-notch. We enjoyed a wonderful view from our room, which added to the overall relaxing experience. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Aside from the C2C, there are a lot of hiking trails near the lodge, leading to the most beautiful places. We will come again – if only for the food and drink, lol. Didn’t stay overnight, just had dinner here (reserve if you can). Of all the ‘pub food’ I had on this stretch of the C2C this one stood out. Actual home-cooked food. No chips, just proper potatoes. Homely staff, good atmos altogether. And a stunning view, from your table.

Superb. A walker's paradise with drying room, delicious meals served and a full bar available (we enjoyed the beer and gin). Everything very efficient and well run. Highest standards of customer service. Room was sparkling clean. Loved sitting in the lounge looking out to the dales.

Excellent overnight stop on the Pennine Way, very well set up for hikers including great food, packed lunches for the next day and a drying room in case the weather has been unkind. Cosy rooms with everything we needed, and we couldn't have asked for a better welcome.

I am sincerely grateful to the hotel for the best service, delicious food and excellent beer. The location of the hotel will transport everyone to another world. That world and that place where there is silence, peace, nature, animals and birds. The sound of a nearby waterfall can be heard through the window and it is mesmerizing. All I regret is that I didn’t stay longer. There are a lot of hiking trails near the hotel, in the most beautiful places, from the foot of the mountains to their peaks. We will definitely come again 🤗 Only the best is possible in a place like this and with such an open and friendly staff. Thank you very much ☺️
