The young daughter was running the place on her own today and did a fantastic job. She was very welcoming & bubly and did a gorgeous hot chocolate with Bailey's.

Lovely owners Adam & Caz were amazing hosts and have a brilliantly located hotel/cottage in Thwaite, we thoroughly enjoyed our accommodation with warm rooms, comfy beds and living areas. The food is also wonderful and a wide range of on tap beers/ales and spirits and wines at the bar. The area surrounding is also amazing with plenty of great walks and mountains/Fells. Along with nearby villages like Muker & Hawes all with scenic drives and views and things to do such as the Wensleydale Creamery and Dales countryside museum. Would really recommend
, look forward to revisiting !!

Had a lovely Sunday Lunch, great food, fresh ingredients, well cooked and presented. Friendly hosts and great service.
Comfy chairs to sit and admire the view of the hills from while having a coffee.
Will definitely be back.

Such friendly people and cosy tearooms. Stopped off in Thwaites after getting soaked on the Pennine Way, and they let us hang our wet clothes to dry. A pot of tea and a Wensleydale cheese sandwich later, we set off for the afternoon fully restored! Thank you ☺️

A lovely cup of tea and homemade cookies almost halfway between Hardraw and Tan Hill on The Pennine Way. Owned by a lovely and helpful family — I highly recommend as they really helped me out of a bit of a spot !

Finally, somewhere in this area that knows how to serve great food and customer service. Popped in on the off chance after a long day of walking. The kitchen had closed but the team sorted us out anyway. Looking forward to my next visit.

We loved this stop after our hike off Great Shunner Fell. Lovely tea and scones and the best homemade fruitcake i have ever eaten. And puppies!
